Yaya is used to describe an arrogant person, it can also be used to describe someone who is proud and looks down on others.

Example: “After Ah Beng won the lottery, he turned from a good natured boy to a yaya person; he stopped greeting me as his uncle.

Example: “Ahmad became damn yaya after he was promoted to be our Supervisor. Nowadays, he talks to me in a condescending tone.

  • damn – damn yaya
  • yaya papaya
