Jialat

Origin: Hokkien and Teochew, Jia Lat literally means to eat away (to drain away) the strength.

Jialat is being used to describe a dire situation or to describe a person in a bad way.

Adjective:

Example: “Oh shit, I forgot to pay my credit card bills, this time jialat already…confirm need to pay interest.”

Example: “You know what, your colleague very jialat. I instructed him to do A, he go and do B. He cannot even understand  a simple instruction.”
