Origin: Singlish – literal translation is as blur as a squid; used for describing a clueless person.

Blur Like Sotong is used to describe a person that is totally clueless to the events happening around him/her.

Phrase:

Ah Lian: Ah huay!! I wanna complain!! Just now, I explained to my son his homework and how it is to be done. After I explained like 10 times, he still blur like sotong, kept doing the sums wrongly over and over again.
